Associate Researcher at the Department of Economics, Universidad de Chile. His research interests include higher education economy, particularly those related with public policies in higher education and institutional management: financial policies, regulation, quality assessment, efficiency and performance indicators, allocation of resources, governance, strategic planning. He has been adviser and consultant to Chilean and Latin American universities and for the government of Chile. Before joining the Economics Department he was Vice Rector of Economic Affairs at the Universidad de Chile.
