Diego Huerta has been an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at the School of Economics and Business since August 2024. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Economics from Northwestern University, and a Master’s degree in Economics and a degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Chile.

He was a research assistant and teaching assistant at Northwestern University and previously worked as a researcher at the Central Bank of Chile.

His main research areas are macroeconomics and political economy.
