Academic degrees
Fabián Duarte is an Associate Professor and President of the Talent Development School at the School of Economics and Business. He served as Director of the Department of Economics between 2022 and 2025, and previously headed the Millennium Nucleus in Social Development and was Director of the Microdata Center of the Universidad de Chile (2018–2020).
He was an Associate Director and Adjunct Economist for Chile at the Center for Latin American Social Policy (CLASP) of the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, California. He has also been a researcher at Yale University, the Central Bank of Chile, and the Superintendency of Banks and Financial Institutions of Chile.
Professor Duarte currently teaches Microeconomics I, Mathematics I, II, and III, and Introduction to Microeconomics.
