Academic degrees
Mariana Zerpa is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at the School of Economics and Business of the Universidad de Chile. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Arizona and studied economics at the Universidad de la República in Uruguay.
Her research work focuses on the intersection of labor and public economics, with applications in health, education, and development economics.
Prior to joining the Department, she was an assistant professor at KU Leuven (Belgium). She has taught courses in labor economics, econometrics, public economics, and microeconomics.
