Professor Óscar Landerretche is currently Dean of the School of Economics and Business and a full professor in the Department of Economics at the Universidad de Chile.

His areas of research and specialization are political economy, public policy and macroeconomics.

He has held various public roles, most notably serving as Chairman of the Board of Codelco between 2014 and 2018. He has also served in executive roles at the Universidad de Chile, such as director of the Master in Public Policy (2004–2010; 2020-2026) and director of the Undergraduate School at FEN (2012–2014).
