Academic degrees
Paola Bordón is an Assistant Professor at the School of Economics and Business at the Universidad de Chile. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and her research areas include the economics of education, labor economics, empirical industrial organization, and public policy.
Currently, she serves as President of the Chilean Economic Association (SECHI) and is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Commission on Labor Forecasting as an academic representative.
Previously, she was a professor at the School of Economics and Business at Universidad Alberto Hurtado, and she has served as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank; the Chilean Ministries of Education, Finance, and Labor; and the Ministry of Education of Peru.
