José Manuel Paz y Miño is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics from Indiana University Bloomington.
His areas of specialization are industrial organization and applied microeconomics. In his research, he has addressed firm behavior, particularly in the areas of collusion and competition. He teaches the Applied Economics course and part of the Advanced Methods in Empirical Industrial Organization course in the graduate programs.
Prior to joining DECON, José Manuel served as an assistant professor at the Universidad Católica del Uruguay and as a research assistant and instructor at Indiana University Bloomington.
